Background / History

The Nine-Tails was repeatedly imprisoned and treated as a source of military power, like the other Tailed Beasts. The narrative attributes its hatred of humans to centuries of capture, sealing, and exploitation following the Sage of Six Paths' division of the nine beasts. 207 1249 1250

Konoha sealed the Nine-Tails within Uzumaki Clan jinchūriki because of the clan's powerful sealing arts. Kushina Uzumaki was its final known host; the seal was considered difficult for the Nine-Tails to escape without outside interference. 210 362 623
