That little distance was something Ronglin and the others could cover in minutes.
"What, are all you Akatsuki people allergic to umbrellas? Every one of you is soaked like a drowned rat."
As he drew closer, Ronglin looked at Black Zetsu and Konan standing beneath the large tree and teased them with a smile.
"Cut the crap. If it weren't for you, we wouldn't have come all the way to this godforsaken place."
Ronglin had once criticized her so thoroughly that she was left with a terrible impression of him. Then, after forcibly summoning the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path, Nagato's body had grown even weaker. With all those reasons piling up, Konan had no patience for Ronglin.
Black Zetsu wore an oddly amused smile as he watched Ronglin and Konan bicker.
"Hmph!!!"
Behind Ronglin, Kisame Hoshigaki and Shisui snorted, reminding Konan not to go too far—or they would not be polite.
"You certainly brought quite the entourage."
Konan curled her lips. Akatsuki had received news of Konoha gaining new Kage-level experts immediately. Using Kage-level experts as guards was something only Ronglin would do.
Ignoring Konan, Ronglin looked at Black Zetsu and raised his right hand to point at her. "If I take this silly old woman away, will it affect Akatsuki?"
"I have no objections at all."
Black Zetsu smiled as he answered.
Konan looked puzzled. "Silly old woman?"
Ronglin merely smiled at Black Zetsu without speaking. Black Zetsu still wore that carefree grin, leaving Konan even more confused.
But then Kisame Hoshigaki casually said something that nearly made her explode.
"It's a term used to describe a goofy woman."
Standing behind Ronglin, Kisame Hoshigaki explained it to Konan with a half-smile.
"You bastard!!"
Konan blanked out for a few seconds before understanding. Her fair face immediately flushed
