Remus·John·Lupin is ready to take a look.
A whole month has passed since I lost my job.
Over the past month, his life has become increasingly difficult.
In fact, the villagers of Hogsmeade are no longer unfamiliar with his face. It is very difficult to find a job here. Even if the weekly salary is seven Gold Galleons.
"Are you here to apply for a store manager position too?"
A young witch stopped him at the door of the bookstore and invited him to join a line separate from the customers.
"Ma'am, I'm here to apply for a job as a store clerk."
he said.
"What's the difference? If you can't become a store manager, it's not too late for you to apply for a store clerk job."
The young witch was very busy, so she walked to the door of the shop again and pulled the applicants over.
Lupin glanced around the store, and there was only one kind of book on the shelves, which was the "Green's Notes series" written on the banner.
All the other books on the counter are different categories of this book, including bound volumes and more detailed and lighter categories.
This is incredible for a bookstore. No bookstore dares to say that it only sells one kind of book, but this store is obviously different.
Soon Lupin understood why.
These books... are very popular.
He pulled out a book called "History of Magic Part" from the bookshelf in front of him and read it, and soon became addicted to it.
Until--
"Do you have a wand here of 10 1/4 inches, cypress wood, Unicorn Hair, who is between thirty-two and thirty-three years old, male witch?"
shouted the young clerk.
The wizards who applied for the job were a little stunned, and then started making noises. What is this requirement?
Lupin was even more confused than them, and the request was just to name him.
"I might qualify."
Lupin said.
"Please follow me."
The young clerk looked at him and said with satisfaction.
After arriving at the inner room of the store, Lupin realized what was going on.
in the room.
The carpet is a kind of thick plush, the walls are surrounded by books, the fireplace is burning, and the exquisite silverware is boiling with Pumpkin Juice that does not fit the tone of the room.
On the seat, a little wizard with blond hair was dealing with things like contracts, while another little wizard with black hair was reading a book.
When he came in, both of them looked at him.
"We meet again, sir."
The blond little wizard said, and then walked out,
"Sean, I leave it to you."
So there were only two people left in the room.
Lupin is a little nervous now. This nervousness comes from doubts about the unknown.
"Excuse me, who are you?"
Lupin has no idea of the other party's intentions. What is there worth plotting against him?
Wearing patches and tattered clothes, or the identity of Werewolf?
What shocked him even more was that the two managers of this store were too young. If you look at their clothes carefully, you will know that they are from Twilfitt and Tatting's and are worth a lot of money.
They look like two family members.
"Sean·Green."
Sean said.
This made Lupin speechless for a moment, this child...
After hearing the name, he recalled the name of this store-"Green's Bookshop".
He quickly remembered something.
No wonder the content of History of Magic's notes is still a little immature. Although it proposes a new system and brings readers a new and excellent reading experience, some omissions in the author's knowledge reserve can still be seen.
For authors who have published books, it is just above the passing mark;
But for a first or second grade wizard...
It's simply a fantasy.
"This is published by my friends and I. We are still in school at Hogwarts, so we need an acting store manager. What do you think?"
Sean closed the book in his hand.
Lupin has droopy eyelids, and it is difficult for him to stay in a job for a long time. When Werewolf's identity is exposed, he will be driven away quickly most of the time.
But he is now poor and really needs a job.
"Forgive me for refusing..."
Lupin said in a hoarse voice.
These two little wizards... turned out to be here to recruit the store manager. They must have worked hard to come up with Hogwarts Castle. He clearly knew how difficult it was, especially for such a rule-abiding wizard.
I'm afraid they only have this one chance. If they are fired, they will have to take the holidays to recruit people.
"Can you give me a reason?"
Sean asked.
"I... I... am a Werewolf."
The little wizard in front of you always has a strange magical power. When he asks questions sincerely, it's hard for you to lie.
"It doesn't matter, I can give you two more days off, as long as you handle the things in the store in advance."
Sean seemed to be talking about a trivial thing, while Lupin was already frozen in place.
"Maybe you didn't understand what I meant..."
Lupin was silent for a while and then said.
"Werewolf, who usually looks the same as an ordinary person, but transforms into a wolf during the full moon every month?
You registered at Werewolf Registry, right? Do you remember Werewolf Code of Conduct, right? For example, you lock yourself up every month at the full moon to avoid harming others."
Sean said.
"Of course..."
Lupin said.
"That's no problem."
This expression of Sean made Lupin wonder if his former bosses were making too much fuss. Finally, he smiled helplessly:
"My child, I appreciate your kindness, but you seem to have no idea what Werewolf means."
Sean looked at him, his green eyes were bright:
"Outside of Werewolf, they are still wizards, right?"
There is a book on Sean's desk called "Hairy Nose, Human Heart".
Written by an anonymous author at Whiz Hard Books, this book tells the heartbreaking story of a wizard's struggle against Werewolf ization and was published in 1975.
By the 1990s this book had become a classic.
"You have a one-month probation period. If you can't do your job well, I will still fire you."
Sean said again.
Lupin burst into laughter. He seemed to have met an overly interesting little wizard:
"I will try my best."
After sneaking out of the bookstore, Justin and Sean separated.
He didn't ask Sean why he hired Werewolf as the store manager, but just kept looking at Lupin curiously.
Sean also happens to have an extra helper:
"Let's go to Trick Shop first, and then Gringotts. Can you know Apparition?"
Sean asked.
This way he wouldn't have to bother Shopkeeper Gurt who was too busy.
Since Diagon Alley's store was well managed, Weasley twins called her to come here to expand its territory.
"You will be the Duke of the North!"
Fred always smiles narrowly.
"The salary has doubled!"
George also laughed along.
Shopkeeper Gurt has nothing to say and is always angry. Sean doesn't want to trouble her at this time.
"Of course."
Lupin tightened his patched clothes.
