Activated Witchcraft

Alchemy did not originate from the witchcraft system. It had its own roots and developmental trajectory.

Yet in many places, it was also regarded as witchcraft and magic, and was considered a classic field of the occult.

As wizards continued expanding outward, they absorbed and organized it.

That was how the Witch Realm Alchemist came into being.

Some people from the outside world said that wizards were like sorcerers.

That statement was not entirely without merit.

But the fundamental difference was that sorcerers relied on ancestral bloodlines and had innate limitations.

Wizards, on the other hand, were often unrestricted.

Based on occult knowledge, they could excavate an entire set of Bloodline Talents and Casting Abilities for themselves. They could also develop them freely, creating immense power comparable to that of gods.

Roy had not been dazzled by the choices. Instead, he calmly selected a reliable one as the foundation of his path.

"It's this one. Activated Witchcraft!"

The Witch Tower's rule was that apprentices could choose only one foundational discipline.

That was because Low-level Wizards lived for several hundred years, while Advanced Wizards lived for several thousand.

The apprentice period, however, lasted only a pitiful few decades.

And the foundation-building phase—the golden age—lasted only a few years.

It was certainly better to learn fundamental things than flashy, superficial ones.

Besides, certain precious resources were limited. They could not possibly be wasted on the vast number of apprentices.

"Not a bad choice!" the Steward Apprentice praised. "This is a wondrous form of witchcraft that can animate cells and Life Energy, and even grant inorganic matter the power of life!

"In theory, it should be classified under Genesis, but in practice, it can be applied across all the major branches. Whether it's Potionology or Creationology, it has its uses.

"Moreover, it is also an essential foundation for Artificial Life, the Holy Grail of Genesis in the future!"

As he spoke, he found the application form that needed to be filled out and handed it to Roy.

From then on, Roy obtained a legitimate inheritance granted by Oakmi Witch Tower.

These selections did not merely provide him with study materials. They also came with corresponding resources.

They were precious resources that could help him build a solid foundation, enough to support him until he advanced to Formal Wizard, and even Advanced Wizard.

During the Apprentice Stage, it was practically impossible to obtain such things outside through one's own efforts.

Several days later, the date arrived at April 25.

Roy received notice that his application had been approved.

The inheritance of Activated Witchcraft had been granted!

From then on, he entered the inheritance sequence. In fact, he was already an Advanced Apprentice in the Reserve Force.

"From now on, this study room is reserved for your personal use until you leave the Witch Tower.

"The Crystal Ball, a witchcraft artifact inside this room, contains the complete records of the Spell Model and inheritance content you selected..."

An old apprentice led Roy to the inner corridor of the teaching district on the eastern side of the Witch Tower and stopped in front of one of the doors.

A massive lion's head hung on the door, as though a hunter were displaying its trophy.

It looked like a living creature, glaring at them with a ferocious expression. Its eyes even drifted back and forth with their movements.

The old apprentice reminded him, "Put your hand into its mouth, and you'll find the mechanism that opens the door."

Roy followed the instructions with some trepidation.

"All right. The precautions are posted on the wall inside. Read them yourself."

After saying that, the old apprentice turned and left.

Roy walked in and immediately saw the Crystal Ball placed on a table in the corner.

He closed the door, sat down at the table, and extended both hands, gently making contact with it.

A moment later, his mind grew hazy, and he entered a deep meditative state guided by the witchcraft artifact.

Amidst the darkness, a towering figure dressed in a spacious robe emerged.

Behind it spread a dark void, while a stellar halo appeared behind its head.

At its eyes, Spiritual Power solidified into Golden Radiance, looking down upon his tiny self.

Its voice boomed like thunder, drifting down from all directions at once. "Activated Witchcraft is a method commonly used by wizards to stimulate vitality.

"Its theoretical ultimate is the Breath of life, Creating Life...

"Activated Witchcraft began from this..."

Roy listened in astonishment. Only then did he realize that the seemingly simple Activated Witchcraft had such an advanced theoretical ultimate!

Could this be connected to the myth of Clay Molding Man...

The thought flashed through his mind, but he did not dare become distracted. He hurriedly absorbed the knowledge like a sponge drinking water.

After studying for a while, he began to ponder.

"Besides the spell itself, there are quite a few application branches corresponding to Activated Witchcraft for me to choose from.

"These are the resources needed for practical applications.

"The more mainstream Evil Tentacle, Animated Bone Blade, Spliced Limbs...

"All of them use the principles of Activated Witchcraft to strengthen themselves through Mage Body Modification.

"This allows apprentices to gain strength comparable to that of knights who have trained for years in a very short time, and then quickly surpass them."

Among them, Evil Tentacle was a very common form of Mage Body Modification using Activated Witchcraft.

Some wizards transformed their tongues and other soft tissues into Evil Tentacles, giving them the flexibility of an octopus.

Others modified their arms, fingers, and so on, making themselves look as though an octopus had gained sentience.

As the name suggested, Animated Bone Blade involved transforming bones grown from within the body into powerful Biological Weapons.

At first, sharp bone spurs would grow from the finger bones and arm bones. After further modification, one could even pull one's spine out of the body and use it in battle.

Of course, one could also cause the ribs to proliferate and gain powerful Bone Armor naturally.

Spliced Limbs were more commonly seen in Three Heads Six Arms, or in living prosthetic limbs such as tails attached to the coccyx.

It was worth mentioning that spells like the classic "fireball spell," which were cast outward or manifested during combat, were far from all there was.

Many spells involving summoning, curses, healing, and teleportation took effect outside of combat.

There was also Activated Witchcraft, which focused on everyday production and manufacturing, as well as modifications targeting one's own body!

Roy seriously considered it.

Perhaps he could take a gamble on a rare aberration-type Mage Body Modification within this application branch—Hair Ghost Witch Body!

It originated from a certain aberration-type existence discovered when the Archmages were waging war in a Weird World.

The Weird World was a special law-based world that contained Origin Power at the level of laws.

However, most of it was fragmented.

Some people speculated that it had once been an ancient battlefield of gods and demons, where many Lord God Rank beings from the primordial era had fallen.

A type of aberration known as the "Hair Ghost" could grant hair the characteristics of animation and regeneration, while also being compatible with various enhancement modifications.

For example, when combined with Medusa Hair, one could transplant the limbs of venomous snakes or gain magic eyes with petrification abilities.

Alternatively, one could combine it with Liquid Metal to refine steel hair strands with both offensive and defensive capabilities.

One could even connect hair to electricity-generating organs similar to those of an electric eel, first entangling enemies with strands of hair before suddenly applying a high-voltage electric current.

If this Hair Ghost could be cultivated anew, or even transformed into a Demon God-level Aberration, it would become a top-tier application of witchcraft!
