Brook had wanted to write "Read" on it, but considering it was best not to provoke Dumbledore, he wrote "Agreed."
Dumbledore examined it carefully, then had Brook sign his name.
Only then did he fold the letter and solemnly tuck it into his robe.
Seeing this, Brook completely resigned himself.
Fine.
School it was!
At least he could pick up some mission rewards along the way.
"Normally, after receiving a reply, the school sends someone to give you a preliminary introduction to the Magical World. But since I'm already here, I might as well take you myself!"
Dumbledore said warmly.
So this old man had come specifically for him after all!
Caught red-handed, huh!
(╬◣д◢)
But what else could Brook say?
He could only nod in agreement.
In high spirits, Dumbledore stuffed all the candy from the coffee table into his pockets, not leaving a single piece for Brook.
Then he headed for the door with brisk steps.
Those red high heels were especially eye-catching under the sunlight.
Just as the two reached the doorway, they saw a cute little girl releasing an owl.
The owl had a letter clamped in its beak.
The little girl happily waved goodbye to the owl.
"Bye-bye, have a safe trip."
Brook and Dumbledore simply watched quietly.
The little girl seemed to sense something and turned around.
"Ah! Brook... Good morning, Grandpa!"
She looked a little flustered, rubbing her small hands together as a faint blush appeared on her face (ꈍᴗꈍ).
Dumbledore smiled kindly at the little girl.
Brook naturally knew what Hermione was doing.
But this was a perfect chance to tease her.
"Hermione, what were you doing just now?"
Hermione's little face turned even redder as she stammered.
"I... That owl flew to my house, and it looked very hungry, so I gave it some food. I was just seeing it off."
It was not that she wanted to keep it secret. It was simply that wizards and magic schools sounded far too fantastical.
She did not want people to think she was crazy.
"It seems Miss Granger has a kind heart."
Dumbledore praised her, his eyes full of warmth.
"Grandpa, you know me?" Hermione asked doubtfully.
"I saw your name on the admission list. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Albus Dumbledore, Headmaster of Hogwarts."
After hearing Brook call her Hermione and sensing magic within her, Dumbledore could naturally guess who she was.
Hermione's mouth fell open in surprise. "Ah! You... You're the Headmaster of Hogwarts?"
"Yes."
"Then everything in that letter was true? There really is such a school?"
"Of course it's true. I don't look like some mad old man, do I?"
Dumbledore winked humorously.
"Of course not. I just find it a little unbelievable."
Hermione hurriedly waved her hands, her face full of excitement.
"Are your parents home? I'll explain it to all of you together."
"They are, they are."
Hermione nodded rapidly.
Dumbledore looked at Brook.
"Brook, it seems we'll need to delay for a while. Would you like to come in too?"
Brook shrugged indifferently.
Hermione looked at Brook in delight.
Bullied and excluded at school, she barely had any friends.
And Brook was the only one willing to talk to her.
Since Brook knew Dumbledore, Brook had to be a wizard too.
The three of them arrived at the Granger house.
Hermione naturally moved closer to Brook.
"Brook, are you going to Hogwarts too?"
Brook nodded helplessly.
"That's great." Hermione was delighted.
"So that school is real? There really are wizards in the world? This is incredible."
Brook curled his lip.
If it were not for the system's existence,
even if he had received a letter from Hogwarts, he would not have gone to become a wizard.
As a transmigrator, he had far too many ways to make money.

Wouldn't it be better to live as a filthy rich tycoon?
"With your intelligence, you could definitely become part of society's elite, maybe even enter politics and become Prime Minister. What's so good about becoming a wizard?"
"That's magic! Magic!"
Hermione's eyes sparkled (✧◡✧).
After Dumbledore finished showing off,
he turned a teacup into a flying phoenix.
The Granger parents quickly accepted the truth.
They gladly "sold" Hermione off,
agreeing to let her study magic.
Their group of two became a group of three.
Hermione would be joining them in Diagon Alley to buy school supplies.
"Headmaster, let me help you!" Hermione's little face reddened as she tried to assist him.
"I think I'm about to figure out how this machine works."
Dumbledore held money and kept trying to shove it into the ticket slot. Though he had no idea how to use it, he was remarkably persistent.
Brook had long since moved away from Dumbledore.
His expression perfectly matched that of an old man staring at a phone on the subway.
After another five minutes,
Hermione finally exploded.
(キ`゚Д゚´)!!
She bought three subway tickets from a machine beside them and forcefully stuffed one into Dumbledore's hand.
Dumbledore did not insist. Instead, he accepted it cheerfully.
In truth, he had already found the right slot and inserted the money, but the subway map was so convoluted that he still could not figure it out.
After leaving the subway, they walked for more than thirty minutes before finally reaching their destination—the Leaky Cauldron.
It was a dirty, cramped tavern.
Sandwiched between two luxurious shops, it looked completely out of place.
Dumbledore led the way and pushed open the tavern door.
A mixture of mildew and alcohol rushed at them, making Brook frown slightly.
The tables and chairs inside were old and shabby, coated in layers of grime.
Hermione, meanwhile, curiously looked over all sorts of strangely dressed wizards.
When they saw Dumbledore, they all stood to greet him.
"Albus, it's been a long time since you brought new students here."
A man who looked like the tavern owner, with a dangerously receding hairline, enthusiastically approached them.
"Tom, there are quite a few new students this year. Minerva and the others are too busy, so this old bag of bones had to step in."
"More new students is a good thing. Hannah isn't here, or she'd definitely want to meet the greatest wizard of this century."
"There will be plenty of opportunities at school."
After exchanging a few pleasantries with Tom, Dumbledore led Brook and Hermione through the bar.
They arrived at a small courtyard enclosed by walls.
A trash can stood in the corner, looking utterly unremarkable.
Dumbledore drew his wand and explained.
"This wall is the entrance to Diagon Alley. The next time you come, count three bricks up from the trash can, then two bricks to the right, and tap it three times with your wand."
As his wand touched that brick,
the wall began to tremble, and its middle section twisted violently.
A small hole gradually widened.
Several seconds later, an archway appeared, leading to a winding cobblestone street.
"˚*̥(∗*⁰͈꒨⁰͈)*̥ Wow~"
Hermione's mouth hung wide open, her eyes full of amazement.
Dumbledore looked at Brook again.
"How magical," Brook replied perfunctorily.
Yet Dumbledore seemed quite pleased by Brook's lackluster response and gave a gentle smile.
He stepped into Diagon Alley first, with Hermione close behind.
Brook, however, looked at the trash can.
While no one was paying attention, he swiftly moved it to a different spot, then hurried after the group.
[Congratulations, Host. You have completed the task of moving the trash can marking the entrance to Diagon Alley. Reward: one draw.] [Congratulations, Host. You have arrived at Diagon Alley for the first time. Reward: one draw.]
Hearing the system notifications, Brook was delighted.
When he learned that he would be following Dumbledore to Diagon Alley, he had looked through all the related tasks issued by the system.
There was nothing wrong with completing the easy ones while he was at it.
Just as the wall returned to normal, a wizard came over, intending to enter.
He followed the usual procedure and tapped the bricks several times, but nothing happened.
So he called over old Tom and the other wizards in the tavern.
The group fussed around the wall for quite some time, yet remained completely baffled.
Just as they were preparing to contact the Ministry of Magic, Snape rushed in.
Everyone quickly stepped aside, while one person quietly pulled their hood lower.
Snape did not even glance at them. He walked straight to the wall and lightly tapped it three times with his wand. The archway appeared again.
He walked through it, leaving everyone standing there in utter confusion.
