"Lazy pig!" Nami muttered and turned to leave.
But she hadn't given up.
Every ten minutes, she came back to knock on the door, each time harder than the last.
"Brook! It's ten o'clock!"
"Ten thirty!"
"Eleven!"
"It's already noon! Did you sleep yourself to death?!"
She was so angry that she wanted to throw a bolt of Lightning Punishment at the captain's cabin.
But then she thought it would be bad if she struck Hermione.
"This is infuriating..." Nami slumped onto a deck chair, hugging a cup of juice and sulking. She gnawed on the straw until it creaked.
Until the sun was high in the sky.
More precisely, it was past two in the afternoon.
Only then did Brook slowly wake up.
The moment he opened his eyes, he saw Hermione lying in his arms, staring at him without blinking.
"How long have you been awake?"
Hermione smiled faintly. "I just woke up too."
A wicked grin appeared on Brook's face as he tightened his arms slightly. "I heard that morning exercise... is good for the body and mind."
"Morning exercise, my foot." Hermione rolled her eyes at him. "Look what time it is. It's afternoon!"
She slipped out of Brook's embrace in an instant.
A flash of magical light passed through the room, and articles of clothing appeared out of thin air, covering her lovely body.
Brook sighed regretfully. "Magic really is convenient... but it's also far too inconvenient."
Hermione turned back and glared at him. "Get up already. Nami must be getting impatient. If you don't go out soon, be careful she doesn't strike you with lightning."
Only then did Brook reluctantly climb out of bed and stretch languidly.
His bones crackled softly, and his entire body felt refreshed.
