The old man walked along, touching the newly piled grave markers with the worn cane in his hand. As the cane probed forward, faint phantoms rose from beneath the ground.
Sanders was no stranger to the old man's actions.

Rhein walked up to the hunched old man. They seemed to be old friends, standing before a newly erected grave marker and speaking of something. After a while, Rhein led the hunched old man over to Sanders.
"Borus is an old acquaintance of mine." A hint of nostalgia appeared on Rhein's face as he sighed. "We had not met for a thousand years, and I had never heard any news of him. I never expected to encounter him here when I came to the Abyss frontline."
The hunched old man, Borus, lightly bowed his head to Sanders. "Lord Phantom Demon."
An old acquaintance of Rhein's from a thousand years ago, yet his strength was now even lower than Sanders, a later arrival. He appeared to be merely a second-level wizard and had not set foot upon the Path of True Knowledge. Though he might have been far older than Sanders, he still had to address Sanders as "my lord."
Sanders nodded to Borus, then looked at Rhein in some confusion. He did not know why Rhein had suddenly brought him to see a soul wizard.
Rhein's lips moved, and Sanders sensed a message wrapped in rings of energy arrive beside his ear. Those energy rings did not completely dissipate until Sanders had received the message.
This was Rhein's method of transmitting information. At present, no wizard could spy upon or decipher it.
