Light and shadow slowly took shape within the vortex.
Angel's pupils contracted. What had he seen?
The outline of a Greater Demon?!
Fafnir had actually been right! Under such a terrifying attack, the Greater Demon had not died? Angel's face was filled with shock. As the light and shadow emerged, that outline grew ever clearer.
Angel silently watched the dark vortex. When the figure of light and shadow finally stepped completely out of it, he at last saw the truth within—
Baphomet appeared before the assembled wizards.
"It's actually not dead!" Angel's feelings suddenly became complicated. Before power of this level, capable of crushing all in its path, Baphomet was actually still aliv—
No! Angel's expression abruptly froze. Although Baphomet had stepped out of the dark vortex, its eyes were vacant and despairing, without the slightest spark of life.
It did not resemble a living creature at all!
Just as Angel was full of doubt, he saw a faint layer of black mist shroud Baphomet's entire body. The black mist relentlessly eroded it. Great swathes of skin fell away, exposing sinew, bone, and flesh beneath. That flesh, like scorched mud, melted into thick paste and continuously dripped from its body.
Flesh, organs, even bones—all were fused together and rained down from the sky.
Scarlet stench, pitch-black filth, deathly white ruin.
In the end, Baphomet completely turned into a bloody mist and burst apart with a bang.
When all the filth dispersed, Baphomet's spirituality was erased from the world as well.
Yet it was not over.
Angel heard the ringing of bells. The only demon that wore bells was Edesinos!
Sure enough, once the bloody mist dispersed, figures behind it were revealed—and there was more than one. Edesinos and Minotaur appeared at the same time!
They had actually hidden behind Baphomet?
