Sanders looked at the pitch-black passage ahead. Light slowly lit up within it, and a strange, secretive ripple spread from inside, seeming intent on engulfing him.

Sanders froze for a moment, as though he had sensed the truth behind the ripple.

He raised an eyebrow and murmured to himself, "Interesting."

He did not resist the ripple—or rather, within this cramped passage, he could not resist it.

When the ripple covered his entire body, a majestic voice echoed beside his ears.

"Honor my name, seek my traces."

As the voice fell silent, he saw vast stretches of "treasures" slowly emerge in the pitch-black passage ahead—"treasures" as far as he was concerned.

Knowledge manuscripts from legendary wizards, lost experimental instruments, mysterious alchemical works, and precious materials.

A greedy red glint flashed through Sanders's eyes, but the greed quickly faded and was replaced by contemplation.

Perhaps because Sanders had not moved for so long, the door at the far end of the passage slowly began to close. The instant it shut, Sanders heard a sigh beside his ear, as though lamenting his choice to stop short and go no farther.

After the sigh, light flashed before Sanders's eyes, and he returned to reality.

He was standing atop the Void Giant Tower.

Not far away lay Orucia, stretched out in midair as though asleep. Around Orucia, many people had fallen into madness, dancing and gesticulating wildly.

Clearly, they too were undergoing that previous "temptation."

Sanders took several steps back. He knew that if he continued approaching Orucia, he would likely sink into that illusion as well. Though the illusion contained far too many falsehoods, enough for an illusionist wizard to see through at a glance, the voice echoing beside his ears could block out all memories and weave a delusive dream.
