Inside the library, the petite demon suddenly raised Its head and looked toward the boundless void.
"With a single glance, It saw through disorderly space-time, and Its thoughts crossed over in an instant. How terrifying!" The low voice trembled visibly. "As expected, it was right not to leave a mark on him back then."
This petite demon was none other than the Cruel Scholar.
When Its statue Descent Object had been splashed with Angel's blood, the Cruel Scholar had already sensed it. It had originally thought Angel intended to use the Descent Object, so It had attached Its thoughts to it beforehand.
Later, It had even secretly tempted Bobota into persuading Angel to use the Descent Object.
Yet in the end, Angel still had no intention whatsoever of using the Descent Object, much less activating it.
Just as the Cruel Scholar was feeling regretful, Angel had confronted the Lord of No Flame's incarnation.
Immediately afterward, the Cruel Scholar sensed that terrifying gaze. Though the other party was still beyond a distant span of space-time, that immense consciousness had arrived in an instant!
Even the Lord of No Flame had yet to notice the Cruel Scholar's thoughts attached to the Descent Object, yet those eyes had looked directly over.
They forcibly drove the Cruel Scholar's thoughts out of the Descent Object.
The feeling was like being driven out of Its own home by an outsider. Yet It did not dare voice a single objection. Even now... whenever It tried to cast Its gaze toward that world, it was obscured by a faint, indistinct barrier.
"This level of energy truly is something like a 'miracle.'" The Cruel Scholar pondered, lingering fear written across Its face. Fortunately, It had not forcibly
