In the dim room, there was only a burning wall lamp and an utterly bare stone bed.
All wooden objects in the guard city, whether furniture or buildings, had long since rotted away after so many years. When Angel had come before, he had already cleared out those decayed items.
Angel sat on the stone bed, quietly sensing the power in his right eye.
Ever since his right eye had fused, he had never had the time to study it. Now, at last, he had some spare time to perceive the changes in it.
Angel did not bother with the newly acquired Green Patterns. Researching them would consume a great deal of time. His main focus was still the true nature of his right eye.
He could now simply fiddle the Green Patterns out of his right eye, but he still did not understand how it functioned. Moreover, Angel had never truly activated his right eye.
What changes would occur after activating it?
Angel raised a finger and pointed into the empty air before him. Layers of ripples spread through the air, eventually forming a mirror like liquid mercury. The mirror was clear and bright, reflecting Angel's face with perfect clarity.
After his physical body had been strengthened, his build had not changed, but the scholarly frailty he once possessed had faded considerably. Instead, there was a change in his vigor and spirit from the inside out, like a cheetah poised to strike. He looked slender and elegant, yet could unleash tremendous power at any moment.
His features had not changed either, though his formerly pale complexion had become somewhat more lustrous.
His golden hair had grown a little long. Since his hair was rather soft, it hung down, especially his bangs, which Angel had deliberately let fall to cover
