The dust settled. The apprentices looked at Angel before them, their eyes filled with confusion and shock.
This sudden pressure had struck in all directions without discrimination. They too had been caught within it, unable to move. Yet this blond boy not only feared no pressure, but could even fight with effortless ease beneath those terrifying vines?
All the apprentices gazed at Angel as he descended from the sky, curiosity about his identity rising in their hearts.
After landing, Angel paid no attention to the wizard apprentices around him. Instead, he shook his arm with a strange expression.
The reason for his odd look was that he had not dodged every one of the vines' needles. One or two had pierced his arm as he fell, and he could still feel a faint sting.
Yet pain was pain. After checking, he found not a trace of injury on his arm. Even where he had been pricked, there was only a tiny white spot. The skin had not been punctured at all.
"After my body was strengthened, even my skin got thicker?"
Angel could tell that the force behind those thorns had been immense. In the past, if he had taken a blow like that, let alone escaped without a wound, he would very likely have been pierced clean through!
For the first time, he had a real experience of the changes in his physical body.
He had actually withstood an attack from a wizard? The unease in his heart instantly gave way to far greater confidence.
No one else knew about the shift in Angel's mood.
At that moment, everyone heard the sound of something slicing through the air above them. Angel raised his head and watched a figure rapidly sweeping in from the east.
