According to Grewu's own account, his youthful appearance was called the semi-mature form.
It was the initial state of a Fire Pattern Demon.
Once a Young Fire Demon matured and transformed into a Fire Pattern Demon, the energy cost of maintaining its true form was not something a newly matured Fire Pattern Demon could sustain. Thus, the vast majority of Fire Pattern Demons would enter their semi-mature state, consuming less energy that way.
Only when their strength increased in the future and their energy reserves were sufficient would this initial state gradually disappear among Fire Pattern Demons.
It sounded rather like the low-consumption concept in mechanical alchemy.
Once low-consumption mode was activated, the energy lost by one's body would be reduced even further.
Angel could not help but sigh. Though demons had not developed any specialized structure of knowledge, many concepts within their philosophy of survival actually filled in missing links. For instance, this typical mode of "hiding one's light and biding one's time."
For the time that followed, Grewu remained in Ice Valley to recover from his injuries.
However, Grewu did not stay long. Two days later, his injuries had largely recovered, and he prepared to return to the Demon Monastery.
When Grewu left, he gave Angel something.
—Two Origin Fires, one purple and one white.
Angel looked at the two Origin Fires floating in Grewu's palm and asked in confusion, "Wasn't Orucia's purpose in coming to Lasudelan to obtain Origin Fire? What, he doesn't want them anymore?"
Grewu shook his head. "Lord Orucia only needed the Origin Fire to open the Kindled Fire Relic. Now that the Kindled Fire Relic has been opened and my lord has obtained what he wanted, he instructed me to bring these two Origin Fires to the shopkeeper."
"Bring them to me?"
Grewu
