Before returning to the Southern Region, Angel first made a trip back to Ice Valley alone.
His main purpose was to take Bobota away, but as he passed the Ice Crystal Palace, he spotted Odecras inside the ceremonial hall.
He had assumed Odecras would be cultivating in the underground fire crystal mine, and that this departure would likely have to be without a farewell. He had not expected Odecras to appear in the palace at this time.
Had he not seen him, that would have been one thing. But now that he had, Angel could not possibly ignore him.
He walked into the hall, respectfully offered his greetings, then told Odecras that he would soon be leaving.
Odecras nodded noncommittally. "The Flame Mark on your body is proof of our friendship. I will not take it back."
Angel lowered his head, placed a hand over his chest, and solemnly said, "May our friendship endure forever."
Odecras froze for a moment, and the corner of his lips curved faintly upward. Just as Angel thought his eyes were playing tricks on him, Odecras returned to his expressionless state.
"You seem very interested in Feng?" Odecras suddenly brought up an unrelated matter.
Angel nodded. "There are some things I need to verify through him."
Odecras did not investigate what those so-called matters were. After pondering for a moment, he took an object from an unknown space and tossed it to Angel.
"This was left behind by Feng back then. I do not know what it is for, but since you are so interested in him, you may have it."
Angel examined it carefully and discovered that the object Odecras had thrown him was a long key covered in intricate patterns.
"Ojia Intricate-Pattern Key?"
