Before Angel returned from Savage Cave to the Old Earth Continent to honor his five-year promise to Jon, White Bear had come to Demon Illusion Island to find him.
At the time, White Bear said, "He asked me to come here and give you my most precious possession."
The "he" in those words referred to Dodolo.
White Bear did not know what Dodolo had foreseen, but there was no denying that, given Dodolo's gift and potential, his foresight would never be wrong. After much deliberation, White Bear had sought out Angel and entrusted him with the White Bear Plush he had treasured for many years.
Now that Angel had taken out this White Bear Plush, he was clearly responding to Dodolo's earlier "foresight."
White Bear's heart skipped a beat. He recalled the prophecy he had once received: if he wished to climb out of the dark mire, walk farther down the path of transcendence, and find his true home, he needed to meet someone.
The result revealed by that prophecy had been that this person was Angel.
The prophecy had two parts. The first was that he wanted to go farther on the path of wizards; the second was that he wanted to find his true home. The core requirement of both parts was that they had to be connected to Angel.
That was also why White Bear had previously gone to such lengths to build a bond with Angel.
Remembering Angel's earlier question about his clan name, White Bear vaguely sensed something. "Could it be that what Angel wants is something related to me myself—my true home... my kin?"
