More than half a month ago, when Leon had used the pocket-watch logger to enter the Dream Wilderness, he had actually already met Jon. But the manor had just undergone its upheaval then, and Leon's mind had been entirely on the outside world. He had been too anxious to speak much with Jon.
Now, however, Jon had caught him.
In reality, Jon's body was very frail; he could not even move, so he rarely left the stilt house. Yet Leon still remembered that when Jon had still been in reasonably good health, he had loved catching the two brothers and lecturing them. Once he started, it would last several hours.
Old Pat had still been around then. Not only had he not stopped it, he had been more than happy to see Jon lecture them. For Leon, merely recalling that time was enough to make him shudder.
Now, Jon in the Dream Wilderness had no frailty, no illness, and could even run about freely...
As Leon watched Jon approach him, his heart gave a thump.
Over the next hour, Leon once again recalled the terror of being ruled by Jon in the past.
The ultimate art known as "Nattering" had beaten Leon flat to the ground, and he had no strength to resist. Angel was also being lectured beside him, and most importantly, he even seemed to be enjoying it.
Leon's misery was beyond words. He tried several times to interrupt, but none of his attempts succeeded.
Later, Jon heard Sunny practicing hymns outside but did not hear Yada practicing the piano. He muttered, "That brat is slacking off again," then hurried out. Only then did Leon manage to escape the sea of suffering.
