Deep in Long Night Forest lay Genoa, where the flower fairies gathered.
At the headquarters of Firefly Capital Night Talk, Liwita bent over her desk, writing rapidly with a steel pen. In black ink, she wrote a name on each side of a white sheet of paper.
On one side was Angel; on the other, the Lord of No Flame.
After a moment's thought, Liwita added another name between them: Odecras.
"Angel survived, Odecras offered his friendship, and the Lord of No Flame fell." Liwita murmured the words. Each piece of news was enormous enough to stand alone, but together, they reached the point where a change in quantity became a change in kind!
Even the hand holding her pen trembled with excitement.
She could already imagine the shock this issue would send through the Southern Wizarding World. Firefly Capital Night Talk could use it to climb another rung among wizarding publications!
It could not rival the authority of the City of Truth's Forest of Time on matters of knowledge. But when wizards spoke of well-informed reporting and timely news, Firefly Capital Night Talk would likely be the first name that came to mind.
Liwita gazed at the three names on the page, her eyes bright. To her, they were hope itself!

Someone tapped on the window. Liwita drew back the rose-trimmed curtain and saw a Winter Sun Grass sprite outside the clear glass. Standing waist-high and fluttering golden wings, the sprite bowed politely to her.
She opened the window, and a cool fragrance greeted her. It was faint rather than rich, yet it warmed her heart like gentle sunshine in the depths of winter.
It was the distinctive scent of Winter Sun Grass.
