Xius did not actually know exactly what had happened.
"Not long ago, I suddenly heard Yurika calling to me. Her thoughts and tone were clear and normal. She told me many things, and I could tell that she was fine at the time." At this point, Xius looked somewhat embarrassed. "She had not seen me for a long time and wanted to see me, so I let my guard down."
"And then..."
Xius lowered his head. He did not need to explain what happened next; Sanders could already guess.
Yurika had been controlled by illusion nodes. If she wanted to see Xius, then Xius would inevitably have to destroy the illusion nodes around her. And once Yurika escaped, it would not be easy for Xius to stop her with his strength.
"I thought there were only a few minutes left before the illusion nodes vanished on their own. She also seemed very stable, so I released her early. In the end, the moment the illusion nodes disappeared, she immediately returned to her crazed state, tore open Exile Space, and escaped."
Immediately afterward, Xius discovered that Yurika had charged into the Geometric Lock, heading straight for Rolando in the magical cage.
From the look of it, she seemed to want to kill Rolando.
For some reason, Xius's emotions seemed to have been affected as well. The stifling frustration that had built up over days of Rolando's provocations and mockery erupted in that instant. He had originally intended to stop Yurika, but due to the shift in his mood, an inexplicable thought arose in his heart: given Rolando's conduct, it would not matter even if Yurika killed him.
And in that single thought, he did not stop her.
