Angel had originally planned to bid Serum farewell.
But what he had not expected was that, according to the battle chart, Serum was still competing when he arrived.
He had spent some time at the Research Institute, then stayed at Youthful Grace Hall for so long, yet Serum's sixth-floor advancement match still had not ended?
Looking more closely, Angel realized that Serum was not even fighting a sixth-floor advancement match anymore. He had already reached the seventh floor of the Infinite Battle Tower.
Angel was somewhat curious. Could Serum have been fighting continuously? But more than that, what puzzled Angel was that this seventh-floor match was actually open to spectators?!
Angel remembered that, unless they were important matches, Infinite Battle Tower battles were not open for viewing. It would have made sense if an advancement battle had been open to spectators, but Serum had only just reached the seventh floor. Why was his very first match open for viewing?
With his doubts in mind, Angel bought a ticket and entered the viewing area.
By the time Angel entered, the match was already more than halfway through. Only after entering the viewing area did he notice how many spectators there were; the place was nearly packed to the brim.
Angel looked up at the arena. It was clearly divided into black and white. Serum was within a world of darkness, his figure flickering in and out of sight.
The white side was a frozen world. A man in a silver-white trench coat stood atop an ice dragon, specks of frost and snow scattered over his body. As the biting wind whipped his fluttering lapels, he cut a remarkably dashing figure.
