Sese Bilas's scarlet pupils spun ceaselessly before finally fixing on Angel. A terrifying aura crashed head-on into him.

Had it been any other apprentice, even a peak apprentice, they probably would have been unable to move.

But Angel's physical body was, after all, comparable to that of a formal bloodline wizard. This pressure remained within the limits of what he could endure.

Still, though he was unaffected, he did not move.

Sese Bilas's appearance had caught Angel by surprise. Though he remained confident that he could leave at any time, he had come here in the first place to observe the Guman King's daughter and gather more experimental data. To prevent her from making any greater moves, Angel feigned being affected by Sese Bilas and fell still.

As Angel became quiet and silent, a cold snort came from afar.

"Why aren't you talking now?" The icy voice reached Angel's ears. "A fellow who can only wag his tongue—if I wanted to kill you, it would be as easy as turning my hand over."

Angel raised his head slightly and looked toward the source of the voice.

Atop Sese Bilas's eyeball stood a skeletal throne crafted from human bones. Seated upon it was a strange figure, a full size larger than an ordinary undead.

This figure was strange because her body had been divided down the middle. By color, one half was black and the other white. The black half was filled with chaotic negative energy formed from extreme muddleheadedness, mad hatred, and disorder. It looked utterly chaotic, savage and evil, steeped in pitch-black darkness. The white half differed little from an ordinary soul; her expression was calm and gentle, and she looked like a refined, graceful lady from a distinguished family.

This was a half-undead state!
