When Angel returned to the manor, Gloria was training Toby. Seeing Angel's brows tightly furrowed, she asked curiously, "You look troubled. Did something happen?"
"Let me think. Your schedule today seemed to involve teaching Ashilia. Could it be that someone questioned you during the lesson? Do you need me to cook them into pastries to vent your anger?"
Angel shook his head. "The lesson ended perfectly, and nothing unexpected happened. I'm not troubled either. I just heard some news at the Research Institute."
As for what that news was—whether interesting or shocking—Angel said nothing.
As for matters concerning the Research Institute, Gloria was curious, but she could hardly ask outright. "If it's good news, I'd be happy to hear it. If it's bad news, then don't tell me."
