Angel came to Youthful Grace Hall again.
Today was the New Star Tournament semifinals, divided into two matches. In the morning, Xiliu would face Onassis; in the afternoon, Azaz would face Trom. Although Angel still believed Xiliu's chances of winning were not high, he still planned to go and watch.
When he arrived at Youthful Grace Hall, Xiliu had unusually woken up early. However, her eyes still looked hazy.
Angel asked Xiliu about her strategy, but her response was utterly bewildered.
"Strategy... I haven't thought about it. I've already heard about Onassis's abilities, but I don't know how to fight him either. I'll see how to deal with it when the time comes."
That was quite in line with Xiliu's personality. As a Water Transmutation talent holder, perhaps she had inherited a portion of water's will as well. She herself was not someone who enjoyed fighting. To her, reaching the semifinals had already been beyond her expectations. Even if she were eliminated here, it would still have been worth it.
Angel did not say anything more. If he were Xiliu, he would not know how to deal with Onassis either. Besides, battles were often impossible to predict; adapting to circumstances was better instead.
After ending his brief conversation with Xiliu, Angel found Alan.
Alan was leaning against the window ledge, a stalk of snowgrass that could produce copious amounts of refreshing ice water dangling from his mouth, staring blankly at the azure sky.
It was not until Angel approached that Alan belatedly turned around.
"I had someone inquire about Irene," Angel went straight to the point, and Alan's eyes gradually regained their light from their previous dullness.
"Where is she now? Is she still in Sky Mechanical City?" Alan asked with a face full of anticipation.
