After leaving the Heart House, Angel sat silently at the table for a long while.
What he had told Sang Ye had not exactly been a lie. He had always felt that the Heart House had little use for him.
Ever since he was young, Angel had been taught by Jon to examine himself constantly. That was precisely why he was exceedingly cautious and disciplined in both thought and action. He knew very well that he certainly had obsessions, but inner demons could never exist within him.
Yet this experience in the Heart House had taken him somewhat by surprise. Indeed, his obsessions were as he had predicted, and there were no inner demons crashing down like mountains and overturning seas. However, there were worries buried in his heart as well, places he did not wish to touch—such as that mirror.
His other obsessions might not turn into demons. But the world within the mirror, the people within the mirror, might very well become his inner demons.
This was something Angel urgently needed to pay attention to after experiencing the Heart House.
Although Angel had not spoken with his own obsessions, he now understood some things. The obsessions in the Heart House were indeed formed from emotions, desires, and memories. By that logic, if Toby entered the Heart House, the Extreme Grudge Intent within his body would very likely manifest as well.
In other words, the Heart House should be useful to Toby.
However, Angel did not dare let Toby try the Heart House just yet. After all, the red-clothed Angel he had faced earlier was merely his own obsession, so he could come and go calmly. He still did not know what would happen if a demonized obsession existed within the Heart House.
