"You're awake?" Angel sat down in a chair to one side and asked softly.
Onassis raised his head and looked around, his gaze finally settling on Angel. "Was it you who saved me, sir?"
Angel said, "Other than me, is there anyone else around?"
Onassis pondered for a moment, then rose solemnly to his feet and bowed to Angel. "Thank you, sir."
"No need to thank me. After all, you used the reward you earned for winning the New Star Tournament." Angel waved a hand and asked casually, "How does your body feel now?"
Onassis lowered his head and clenched his fist. "It feels quite good."
"That's good. Get ready, then. The coronation ceremony will be held shortly."
Seeing that Angel seemed ready to leave, a flicker of anxious urgency passed through Onassis's eyes. "But, sir, although I feel quite well, I can no longer sense him. Can you tell me where he is?"
"Him?" Angel looked deeply at Onassis. "You mean your second personality? Or, as you call it, your inner demon?"
Onassis fell silent for a while before nodding. "Yes."
"Can you tell me why you're looking for him? Since he wanted to take over your body, that means he poses great harm to you as well." Angel watched Onassis quietly.
Onassis's gaze darted away somewhat, but under Angel's watchful eyes, he did not dare lie.
"He is me, and I am him."
Angel said, "Is that your only reason?"
Onassis lowered his head and did not answer again. After thinking for a moment, Angel simply changed his approach. "With your abilities, you shouldn't have been unable to detect his existence. Since you did detect him, why did you allow him to remain?"
Within the narrow treatment room, silence hung in the air for a long time.
