Not long ago, Antonio had brought news of Guxiluo.
Guxiluo was also willing to accept an alchemy task. However, he followed the blending school, so he was relatively slow at crafting any work. He only intended to take on one of the crafting tasks.
In other words, the crafting tasks for the remaining two would become Angel's responsibility.
Guxiluo probably felt somewhat embarrassed about pushing two crafting tasks onto Angel, a "newcomer" at the Research Institute. Therefore, he let Angel choose which two tasks he wanted to craft first, leaving the remaining one to him.
Guxiluo's meaning was obvious. Since he would only be crafting one of the three requested items, it did not matter if he took the most difficult one.
However, which one would be left for Guxiluo still depended on Angel's choice.
Over the past few days, Angel had been studying the three people's customization requirements. Along with his own simulated crafting and the alchemical designs he had drawn, he had already developed a general preference.
As the communicator lit up again, Antonio's pale-blue projection appeared before Angel.
"Good afternoon, Mr. Pat." Antonio was as elegant and courteous as ever. "Did you call for me because you have something to discuss?"
Angel did not speak. He merely extended a finger and pointed at the tabletop.
Antonio lowered his head and saw three sheets of manuscript paper laid out on the experimental table before Angel.
Antonio was no stranger to those three sheets. He himself had given them to Angel. The papers came from the top three contestants of the New Star Tournament, and each represented their request for a custom alchemical item.
Understanding flashed through Antonio's eyes. "Have you decided which two crafting tasks to take?"
Angel nodded and propped up the leftmost sheet before Antonio.
