Previously, when Oupulia had tried to divine matters concerning the Budding, he had possessed no basis or evidence whatsoever. He had merely used a faint, subjective clue to fish for scraps of clues in the vast and boundless River of Fate. Although prophecy enhanced his chances, the success rate had indeed been relatively low.
It was like a painter who had never seen a griffin. If someone merely described what a griffin looked like, could he truly paint one?
The same applied to prophecy. Divining something out of thin air drastically lowered the odds of success; but with an actual point of reference, with evidence to support it, one could follow the map to find the steed in the River of Fate, and the success rate would naturally rise.
Si Man was a piece of concrete evidence they knew of. Moreover, because she had previously lived in Sky Mechanical City, she had left behind many traces here. Oupulia could use those traces to search for Si Man.
As long as they found Si Man, many of their doubts could be resolved.
Once the plan had been decided, Rosen immediately sent people to look for items that still retained Si Man's pheromones.
Before long, Melantha brought over a black feather. It was external tissue manifested when Si Man had partially beastified after fusing with Shadow Goose bloodline. Very little pheromone remained on the feather, but because it was
