Could Frafiel have a high affinity with the authority of "Tree Civilization"?
Frod's eyes lit up. "How about I have someone bring Frafiel over for a look?"
Angel pondered for a moment, then ultimately shook his head. "Forget it. There's no need to bring her here."
Seeing Frod's confusion at this answer, Angel explained, "Whether Frafiel's affinity is high or low, do you think an authority like Tree Civilization can be handed down to her?"
Frod froze for a moment, then understood as well.
The reason Frod was wary of the Dream Plant Fairies was that their thoughts were uncontrollable. But when it came down to it, human minds were the truly most uncontrollable things.
If there were several people keeping one another in check, it would not matter if Frafiel possessed authority. But if Frafiel alone held absolute power, and they still did not know her temperament very well, who knew whether it would create another cautionary tale of "the human heart changes with every turn."
For example, if one day a stray thought caused Frafiel to make a mistake in guiding the Dream Plant Fairies, the trouble left in its wake would not be so easily erased.
Therefore, even if Frafiel truly possessed high affinity, she could not be allowed to inherit the authority.
Thinking this through, Frod felt somewhat regretful. They had lost one means of restraining the Dream Plant Fairies, but if trying to restrain them only created another trap, it would surely be a loss outweighing any gain.
"I understand." Frod sighed softly.
"There is no need to test Frafiel's affinity. But if there is someone trustworthy with sufficiently high affinity, there would be no harm in allowing them to inherit part of Tree Civilization's authority."
As Angel spoke, he looked toward Frod. His meaning
