Ifige stared with pallid eyes and roared madly. Flesh-bud tentacles sprouted from his severed limbs. Though they had yet to fully take shape, they rapidly wound themselves together like braids of tangled muscle, attempting to withstand that invisible, silent slaughter by increasing their density.

Even though Ifige's regeneration of severed limbs had accelerated to an unbelievable speed, under Rhein's absolute power, his resistance still failed to raise so much as a ripple.
With a thunderous crash, the Spherical Demon above Ifige's head shattered into fragments. Ifige's head traced an arc through the air, falling once and bouncing three times before finally landing before Rhein.
His mouth was still open, baring sharp teeth; a thread of foul-smelling green fluid streamed from his pallid eyes.
Though it was a hideous sight, at that final moment, Rhein and Sanders somehow saw a trace of transcendence within it.
Sanders vaguely remembered that man with his brilliant blue hair, those jewel-like beautiful eyes wearing an arrogant expression. But now, Ifige no longer had the capital for arrogance. He had become a wretched remnant that would never know peace.
As Ifige's head slowly began to turn into dim motes of light, dispersing into the darkness like black smoke, there was inexplicably a sense of ritual, as though the dust had finally settled.
Perhaps this was the best release for Ifige.
