Although a bee's expressions were difficult to observe, Blair was an intelligent bee. Its gaze, the emotions it gave off, and certain subtle movements all allowed Angel to vaguely sense its state of mind.
From this series of exchanges, Angel could roughly infer that Blair seemed to revere Shava, yet had never actually interacted with Shava.
This was much like some of the Nightmare Realm creatures Angel had encountered before. Angel also did not know what kind of existence Shava truly was. The only thing he could confirm was that Shava should stand high above the rest and rarely come into contact with other Nightmare Realm creatures.
That was precisely why Angel dared to ask directly, "Do I know you?"
Blair's answer would also allow Angel to prepare for his next move.
If Blair answered that it knew Shava well, or had once had deep dealings with Shava, Angel would immediately find a way to shake Blair off with carefully chosen words and avoid exposing his disguise.
But if Blair answered that they were not familiar, Angel could use Shava's identity to draw some information out of Blair.
And Blair's answer satisfied Angel greatly.
It knew of Shava's noble status, yet had never encountered Shava up close. Under such circumstances, whether Angel played the role of Shava or asked questions, he could improvise freely.
Still, no matter how freely he improvised, Angel did not dare stray too far from the mark. From the impressions Shava had left on him during their few brief encounters, he had always felt that Shava should be a cold and indifferent person. If he wanted to impersonate Shava, his persona had to revolve around that indifference.
"Blair, is it? What are you doing here?" Angel's gaze drifted lightly to its waist. The seed pouch there
