Angel raised his head and looked toward the sky above Duoling Garden.
To the naked eye, all he could see was a gray, murky sky. But Angel knew very well that at the highest point of Duoling Garden stood a glowing Dome.
The reason Duoling Garden was not dim was also because its light came from the Dome.
Like the Dome of Sleepless City back then, this Dome sealed off the entire demi-plane tight as a drum.
Unless one found the right path, no one could leave easily.
Though there were no flying Demonic Beasts visible in the sky, Angel still chose to travel on the ground to avoid drawing too much attention. Besides, with three little ones following him now, flying was even less an option.
In the direction Angel traveled, the mushroom forest around him grew ever denser. Every mushroom had a different shape, and their caps came in all manner of colors, with no shortage of those that were both vivid and grotesque. For now, however, these mushrooms seemed harmless and showed no intention of attacking Angel.
On this path, which might not have been entirely safe but was at least relatively quiet, Angel finally had the time to ponder certain things he had previously overlooked.
For instance, what exactly had been the invisible creature that had blocked the exit of the water patterns and attacked him?
The question merely flickered through Angel's mind before he stopped dwelling on it. He instinctively believed that the invisible creature had been working with Misty Gold. If the invisible creature had not attacked him, he would not have hidden by the wall, nor would Misty Gold have brought him into Duoling Garden.
Since they were on the same side, perhaps he would learn the answer once he saw Misty Gold.
