But when the candlelight along both sides of the corridor illuminated its true appearance, Angel's gaze froze.

More precisely, it was a little white mouse dressed in a pure white tailcoat, extravagantly adorned.
The little white mouse was about one meter sixty tall. The reason it had looked two meters tall at first glance was because that lofty top hat was not on its head. The mouse had hooked it with its long tail and held it as high as possible. From afar, it looked two meters tall; up close, the truth was plain to see.
This appearance was almost identical to the pure white full-body statue Angel had seen outside the castle earlier.
Angel had previously guessed that the statue outside the castle might be Nuka. Now, his guess had indeed been proven correct.
Nuka walked step by step toward the banquet hall. Its gait was peculiar, its body swaying from side to side in shallow arcs. Though rather strange, no one paid attention to the way Nuka walked at this moment, because everyone had been cowed by the aura surrounding it.
Even though Angel had temporarily shielded himself from Nuka's oppressive aura by borrowing Spotty Dog's presence, he could still sense the atmosphere in the air around him tightening more and more.
Even the flames atop the candlesticks burned a circle smaller than before. This was enough to show that Nuka's oppression was not merely psychological suppression, but interference with the real world as well.
Angel was once again glad that Spotty Dog had appeared. Otherwise, he would likely have given himself away immediately.
