Boiling Gentleman said, "Although Mystic Mech Valen is my assistant, it has been alive for less than one moon-sacrifice year. Before this, it could not withstand the power furnace modification."
Angel asked, "It can accept it now?"
"After arriving in Heart's Desire, it was already capable of accepting it. But the power furnace would affect one's intelligence to a certain extent. I let it grow accustomed to the feeling of Nightmare Light during this period; only now can the modification be carried out."
Boiling Gentleman did not conceal anything and explained all the finer points involved. After listening, Angel appeared to nod calmly, but a flash of realization passed through his heart. He had previously suspected that the power furnace might affect one's personality and thinking. He had still clung to a sliver of hope, but now even that was gone.
