Little Saim hesitated for a moment, but at Angel's prompting gaze, he still nodded and opened the locked suede-covered iron chest by smearing it with blood.
When the iron chest opened, its contents were revealed before them.
There were only three items in all.
Two bottles of different styles, and a piece of parchment pressed beneath them.
Little Saim hesitated briefly before taking out the bottle that looked transparent. Its body had exquisitely graceful curves, like the torso of an elegant young maiden.
At first glance, the bottle appeared transparent. But upon closer inspection, fine colorless lines, thin as hairs, could be seen inside, as though they had been engraved within the bottle using some special carving pen. The lines were intricate and beautiful, carrying an air of mystery.
The liquid inside was thick and black. Looking closely, it resembled a dark vortex in deep space, as though it could suck away a person's very soul.
Such an exquisite bottle held a thick liquid that looked like mud? What exactly was this liquid?
Just as Little Saim was wondering, Angel's voice sounded beside his ear.
"This bottle is a specially made bloodline bottle. The bottle alone costs no less than a hundred magic crystals."
"Bloodline bottle? Magic crystals?" Little Saim looked at Angel in confusion.
"Magic crystals are a currency circulated among wizards. Their value is difficult to measure with mundane objects... If you insist on converting them, one magic crystal is at least equivalent to several hundred pure gold coins. That is only a comparison; in truth, they are very difficult to exchange for." Angel continued, "As for a bloodline bottle, as the name suggests, it is a magic bottle used to hold bloodlines."
Little Saim froze. A single bottle was worth tens of thousands of gold coins? In
