Angel could understand Fesipanrui's position. Still, if it really was information about him, Demonfire Midir had probably already learned that he coveted the elemental sprites.
Then how would Demonfire Midir react?
After spreading the information, Fesipanrui slowly descended again and sat at the cave entrance.
Angel did not expose Fesipanrui. He planned to wait and see what Demonfire Midir would do—would it react immediately, or hold its ground? In any case, Angel had nothing to fear now. After all, he had not truly abducted a single elemental sprite yet.
With that thought, Angel had Ermi continue monitoring any disturbances outside, while he closed his eyes and entered the Dream Wilderness.
Angel entered the New City construction zone.
Compared to its former desolation, the New City construction zone was now far livelier. Buildings in foreign styles had risen from the ground one after another, while people bustled in and out of them.
Most of the people here were wizards who had come from Savage Cave over the past few days, along with quite a few apprentices who had taken on construction tasks.
Angel even spotted someone familiar among them. For instance, in a small house not far away, there was someone Angel had seen before.
It was a freestanding sheet-metal cottage. At first glance, it seemed to carry traces of the steam age, yet its roof blended in upturned eaves of Eastern style. The two utterly different styles merged together without the slightest discord, instead giving it a rather striking charm.
The sign outside the cottage read, "Night Whisper Veiled Passage."
The name sounded mysterious, but it was actually a tailor's shop. Inside, a female apprentice was cutting cloth. She had waterfall-black hair, emerald-green eyes, and was exceptionally beautiful. Her most distinctive feature was her pointed, elf-like ears.
Angel had never
