"We're here." Ice Kara lazily raised a pure-white claw and pointed at the outline hidden in the frigid mist in the distance.
As the Gondola cut through the white sleet, the outline within the cold fog revealed its true form.
It was an unbroken chain of icebergs, shrouded by vast billows of white vapor.
None of the icebergs were particularly tall, but they stood densely packed together, like frozen, undulating waves.
Yet this so-called "not particularly tall" applied only to the portions above the water. The shadows concealed beneath the surface were like ancient behemoths lying in wait. Merely gazing at them from afar was enough to make anyone with thalassophobia tremble.
"This is Maraya Iceberg." After saying that, Ice Kara rose from the prow of the Gondola, elegantly lifted its head, pushed off with its feet, and leaped directly down from high above. Piercing through layer upon layer of cloud and mist, Ice Kara landed smoothly atop an iceberg.
Angel slowly lowered the Gondola as well, finally bringing it to a stop on the bitterly windswept outline.
Once they had settled, Angel first gazed into the boundless distance before turning to Ice Kara.
He had originally hoped that Ice Kara would lead them to Frost Isel's palace, but when he looked back, he discovered that Ice Kara had already found an outlying peak and lazily sprawled across it.
When Angel looked over, Ice Kara was yawning, looking as though it were saying, "It's time for me to sleep. Don't bother me."
Judging by its demeanor, Angel felt there was little chance it would lead the way, but he still had Lober step forward to test the waters.
Sure enough, Ice Kara refused without hesitation. "No. I only just flew all the way back here, and I'm exhausted. I need
