When Toby heard that the Tree Spirit intended to separate him from Angel, he immediately cried out in protest. He was not stupid; how could he fail to see that the Tree Spirit wanted to divide them and take revenge?
However, when he heard Angel say that he would personally deliver him into Gloria's hands, Toby's resentment finally eased somewhat.
Gloria was family too. Toby believed that with Gloria around, she would never let him be tormented by that exhibitionist, the Tree Spirit! Toby was brimming with confidence, but he had forgotten that Angel and Gloria had recently been playing one the bad cop and the other the good cop—and Gloria was the bad cop...
After chatting with the Tree Spirit for a while, Angel prepared to take his leave and head to Demon Illusion Island to hand Toby over to Gloria.
Before leaving, however, Angel suddenly remembered something.
"Tree Spirit Lord, do you know what is going on with Dangros right now?" Angel took Dangros out of his bracelet. He did not seem to have anything wrong with him; the flames within him were even quite active, yet for some reason, he remained asleep.
The Tree Spirit took one look and said irritably, "He absorbed too much life energy. He's digesting it."
After a pause, the Tree Spirit narrowed his eyes. "Your two little followers both gained quite a lot this time. What a pity about my Life Pool, though, being squandered like this."
Seeing that the Tree Spirit's mood was slightly off, Angel hurriedly said, "I do not want the compensation from those patients. Consider it an apology to you, Tree Spirit Lord. I'll take these two away right now, and I guarantee they will not come back anytime soon!"
The Tree Spirit said, "What do you mean,
