"Duchy of Laxum?" Angel recalled the geography of the Prosperous Continent. "That's in the complete opposite direction from Wensbills."
"Who told you that just because Isos settled in Wensbills, his disciple had to be in Wensbills too?" Tree Spirit said. "And if it really were Wensbills, without using the Planar Corridor, a round trip would take you at least a month. But the Duchy of Laxum is different. It borders the Guman Kingdom. When you return, you'll still make it in time to go to the Tidal Realm with Rhein."
Thinking it over, Angel realized that was true. The Duchy of Laxum was not too far away. Even if he simply took the Gondola, he should be able to make the round trip within a week. With Swift Spirit's help, he could save another two or three days at the very least.
"Any other questions?" Tree Spirit asked.
Angel shook his head. "None."
"Then get ready to leave." With that, Tree Spirit's figure slowly faded away.
Angel tucked the mission envelope safely against his body, then turned to Gloria beside him. "You said earlier that you needed my help with something?"
Gloria was listlessly feeding Toby bites from her own white-bread arm. Hearing Angel's question, she said, "It's not a major favor. I just hope you can introduce someone to me."
"Introduce someone?" Angel asked, puzzled. "Who?"
Gloria opened her mouth, the words already on the tip of her tongue, but seemingly recalling something, she swallowed them back. "Wait until you've finished this mission. When you return, I'll explain it properly."
"So mysterious?"
"Not mysterious. I just need a somewhat more complete plan first."
Angel gave Gloria a suspicious look. Wasn't it just an introduction? Why did she need to prepare a plan?
He did not dwell on it and
