Half an hour later, in the third sector at the lower left of the ruins, everyone stood atop a moss-covered ruin whose original form as a building could no longer be discerned.
In the distance, there was a row of stone houses with Vampire Vines arranged as their outer walls.
Beside the largest stone house were a bonfire, curling cooking smoke, and a towering flag. The flag bore the image of dawnlight breaking through dense fog.
"Dawn Adventurer Group, vine-covered stone houses—it should be here, right?" After speaking, Dox clicked his tongue twice. "Such an artistic name, yet they live so rough. It's not even as good as the Hero Squad's underground supply point."
"Not every adventurer group is as fortunate as the Hero Squad, able to claim a place in the Garden Maze. For an adventurer group made up of ordinary people, this is already quite good." Angel gave them a fairly positive assessment.
Although the Garden Maze had already been plundered by wizards as though it had been swept clean, it had once been a city of transcendents. There were still mechanisms that had not been destroyed, as well as Demonic Beasts lurking in the shadows.
The Hero Squad had found a place to shelter—it was their good fortune. Other adventurer groups, especially small ones without much strength, needed courage and wisdom to survive here.
Whether the Dawn Adventurer Group had courage was still unknown. But their wisdom could be seen from the exterior of the stone houses. For example, they had used certain preservation methods to decorate the houses with dead Vampire Vines. The scent of Vampire Vines could effectively deter monsters from invading, giving the Dawn Adventurer Group a relatively safe place to live.
