The tunnel walls were mostly paved with bricks and stone. Unlike the Starcolor Stone outside, these were a precious kind of Limi Stone. This material could be polished into array discs and accommodate the vast majority of mid-level magic arrays, as well as some simple high-level magic arrays.
Materials capable of accommodating high-level magic arrays, whether beastskin parchment, stone, or magical materials, were all extremely expensive. Yet all four walls here were made of Limi Stone.
Angel could tell that the stone was unusual; naturally, the others could as well.
Other than Black Earl and Angel, everyone felt a little covetous, though they were too embarrassed to say so. Only Dox had no concern for shame and said outright, "How about you go on ahead? I'll dig out a few stones and catch up."
After Dox voiced the suggestion, Kael and Wai also looked eager to try.
But before they could speak, Angel said flatly, "If you want the magic array to backfire on you, then dig. But wait until we've reached the exit before you do it. I don't want to be buried with you."
"There's a magic array hidden in here?" Dox asked suspiciously.
"What else? They specifically used Limi Stone to build a passage just to show how rich they were?" Angel said, somewhat speechless.
Like the magic patterns on the Starcolor Stone outside, the magic patterns here had gradually sunk into the stone beneath the erosion of time. They could not be seen from the outside.
Yet the magic patterns here were far more complex than those outside. Otherwise, there would have been no need to use Limi Stone.
The magic array formed by these patterns needed to interact, intertwine, and deceive the
