Of the three items, Angel picked up the metal ornament first.
It was a silver crown, roughly the size of a baby's palm. Its appearance was understated—a traditional three-pointed crown with none of the lavish extravagance—but its details and hidden patterns were remarkably exquisite. For instance, its pointed tips looked sharp, yet the maker had added smooth, flowing curves behind them, so they did not prick the hand at all when touched.
Moreover, although no gemstones had been set into the crown, that did not diminish its refinement. Vines and roses had been carved in relief across its front, and faint gold dust glittered through the hollowed portions of the relief. "This crown should be a display piece, or rather... a hair ornament. There's a hidden clasp inside that can hold part of someone's hair," Angel muttered, making his own guess.
"It probably isn't a hair ornament. This crown is so small that someone with thick hair could cover it completely.
