"Why were they exploring the void?"
Dox had returned from his corpse run, only to discover that Angel and Kael had gone wandering through the void. The "furious" act he had prepared was temporarily of no use, so he could only suppress his emotions and ask the others why Angel was doing this.
Wai shook his head. "I don't know. Sir only said he wanted to try something..."
Wai did not hide anything and roughly recounted what had happened earlier.
After hearing it, Dox was not only no less puzzled, but even more confused.
Exploring the void was strange in itself. Stairway of the Hanging Prison was also located in an alternate space, and the void here was separated from the real void, filled with artificial traces. It had little value for exploration.
Besides, if they truly wanted to explore the void, why choose this place? There were quite a few spatial rifts here. This was clearly an area where space was unstable. Knowing it was fraught with danger, why would they deliberately put themselves in harm's way?
"The only explanation that makes sense is that he may have discovered some clue that forced him down this path." Dox voiced his guess.
As he spoke, his gaze drifted, seemingly casually, toward Wise Sovereign. These words had been meant for Wise Sovereign to hear. After all, the only one who knew what lay in the void was Wise Sovereign.
At first, Dox's glances had been subtle, merely "hints." But when Wise Sovereign completely ignored him, he grew bolder. His "hints" became outright "implications," and he was only one step away from standing before Wise Sovereign and pointing at his nose to question him.
Wise Sovereign was becoming irritated by Dox's increasingly "obvious" stare, and finally said, "Other than the spatial rifts
