As for how he had narrowed down that range, the answer was actually quite simple.
At first, the coordinate resonating with the cane had been at the end of the left path. But when they reached the fork, the resonance at the end of the left path abruptly vanished, replaced by a resonance on the right path.
Angel had found it strange at the time. Why had the resonance's location suddenly changed? And after changing, why had its coordinates become completely opposed to where it had begun?
They could be called two utterly opposite extremes.
After pondering it for a moment, Angel decided to first inspect the resonance coordinates on the left path. When he reached its end, he discovered that the resonant coordinate was not on the "path" at all, but in the dark void.
What startled him was that, on the way into the void, Angel sensed spatial rifts! Spatial rifts were disasters of immense destructive power, yet exceedingly well-hidden. Once one crashed into them, the consequences would be endless.
One spatial rift would have been one thing, but after Angel and Kael explored the void together, they discovered it was a perilous road to death strewn with spatial rifts.
The farther they ventured, the greater the danger became. With no other choice, Angel could only cut his losses in time and turn back.
Even in the end, Angel had not found the resonant coordinate.
At that point, suspicion had begun to grow in Angel's heart: was the resonant coordinate a trap, or an invitation?
The resonance on the left path was not somewhere ordinary people could enter. Even formal wizards could stumble and fall here if they were careless. It did not resemble an invitation, but rather a trap inviting him into the urn.
