The tentacled monster Dox spoke of was undoubtedly the Wicked Woman.
When the Wicked Woman heard Dox's form of address, her brows shot up, and she glared at him viciously.
But before the Wicked Woman could spew obscenities, the Gray Merchant grabbed her. He gave her a look, signaling for her to rein herself in first.
Then, the Gray Merchant turned to Dox. "If the previous battle gave Wizard Red Sword some misunderstanding about my companion, I apologize to you on her behalf."
Dox said irritably, "I'm not as petty as she is. Everyone could see the state of her injuries. After entering the Sunlight Sanctuary, the cost of repairing her was greater than everyone else's combined. Naturally, the price she had to pay was greater than the others'. This isn't differential treatment. This is a fair trade."
The Gray Merchant pondered for a moment, then recalled Angel's earlier theory about the Sunlight Sanctuary's diminishing effects. He already had his answer.
"So that's how it is. We misunderstood." The Gray Merchant apologized again. "We can accept this condition."
Hearing the Gray Merchant agree to Dox's demand, the Wicked Woman hurried forward, wanting to say something, but the Gray Merchant stopped her again.
"You don't know when you'll fully recover. And don't forget the organ you bought some time ago. If you delay too long, the transplant may not succeed. Wouldn't those tens of thousands of magic crystals have been spent for nothing?" the Gray Merchant said in a low voice.
The Gray Merchant said, "Remember the Patriarch's words: endure, restrain yourself, wait."
The Wicked Woman let out a deep breath of stifled air, nodded, and stopped resisting.
Once both sides had reached a consensus, the arena grew much quieter.
Wai and Kael entered the Sunlight Sanctuary one after the other
