Even if he would not be using Homeland Thunderclap, Black Earl's kindness still deserved thanks.
Black Earl asked, "What are you planning to do next? Fight? Or... something else?"
If it was a fight, Black Earl would cooperate with Angel, and they would lead it together. But if it was "something else," Angel would take the lead. Unless it came to a truly desperate point, Black Earl would not intervene.
"...I plan to negotiate with this Infant Spirit." After pondering for a moment, Angel still voiced his thoughts.
Without question, Black Earl classified Angel's idea as "something else."
"Very well." Black Earl did not ask how Angel intended to negotiate. He merely warned, "The vast majority of Infant Spirits possess an instinct for disguise. Take care not to be deceived by its appearance."
Angel nodded. "I understand."
Infant Spirits were a type of undead. They possessed no intelligence, but in terms of attack methods, they had an innate instinct for disguise. In the wilderness, they took on the appearance of abandoned babies to lure humans close before slaughtering them. This sort of "fishing" was instinctive, but it could also be called compensation. After all, Infant Spirits were far weaker than most undead.
Still, Angel was not worried about being tricked by the Infant Spirit, because he knew perfectly well that the one "negotiating" with him this time would most likely not be the Infant Spirit, but the Demon-Eating Flower.
After Black Earl agreed to Angel's proposal, he made no further intervention. He did not even say a word, merely floating silently to one side.
Angel flew another three meters forward.
The reason it was only three meters had nothing to do with caution. It was simply because Angel had to consider the range of the
