As for making Angel willing to accept, that was simple.
The alchemical puppet reached out and picked up the bronze mirror floating before Olao. The move clearly caught Olao off guard; shock still lingered on his face.
But Olao soon lowered his head and said nothing more. Then, his body slowly turned transparent before finally vanishing into the bronze mirror.
Once Olao had merged with the bronze mirror, the alchemical puppet tossed it toward Angel.
Angel instinctively reached out and caught it.
The instant Angel touched the bronze mirror, his body suddenly stiffened. Even the motion of pulling back his hand became sluggish and jerky, like a mechanical arm.
That was not to say there was anything wrong with the bronze mirror... No, there was far too much wrong with it. No, the mirror itself had no negative issues, but there was something enormously wrong with it...
Angel's thoughts were in complete chaos, tangled into knots.
Yet no matter how muddled his thoughts were, Angel still understood Augustine's intentions.
This was naked, blatant temptation!
Angel raised his head and looked at the alchemical puppet beside him. The puppet was still smiling at him. That smile was like an old fox that had laid down bait and was waiting for the fish to bite!
For even an alchemical puppet's expression to be rendered with such depth, one could see that if his true body were here, he would surely be even more calculating than this puppet!
Augustine could not hear Angel's inward complaints. After all, no matter how capable he was, at present he was only a wisp of consciousness attached to the alchemical puppet.
Still, seeing Angel's "complicated" expression and stiff movements, Augustine knew that Angel had taken the bait.
There were no more than three things that could tempt
