Wise Sovereign's questions did not begin with Olao, whom he had asked about earlier, but with Angel and the others' experiences.
First and foremost, what had been that unusual fluctuation in the Slow-Walking Corridor?
Angel glanced at Adanis high above. Seeing no reaction from her, he said, "The Demonic Beast we encountered in that corridor was the Flower-Holding Infant Spirit from another world."
Angel described the Flower-Holding Infant Spirit's appearance and abilities in detail.
When Wise Sovereign heard about the abilities of Woven Net and Red Wax, he too showed a startled, wary expression. One absorbed energy, while the other could drive people mad. Neither targeted the tangible flesh, but rather the space of thought and the spiritual sea. They sounded difficult enough to deal with just hearing about them.
Wise Sovereign asked curiously, "How did you deal with that Flower-Holding Infant Spirit?"
"We didn't deal with it." Angel scratched his head, looking fortunate. "It was quite well-behaved. It didn't attack us."
It had not attacked Angel and the others?
Wise Sovereign believed that. Based on his observations, Angel and Black Earl's advance had been completely unaffected. They had proceeded almost without hindrance, all the way to the doors of the Clear Sky Poem Room.
But was the truth really as Angel had said? Could it truly be brushed aside so lightly with a single sentence?
Wise Sovereign did not believe so. He could not help raising his head to look at Adanis, trying to glean some clue from her eyes... After all, the Flower-Holding Infant Spirit had surely been sent out by Adanis. She had to know what had happened.
Perhaps the Flower-Holding Infant Spirit had not been "well-behaved" at all. Perhaps something had changed in the Clear Sky Poem Room, leaving Adanis with no time to attend to
