"Panic Realm?" Caroline frowned at Angel's question. "Why were you interested in that bleak world?"
After asking, Caroline suddenly seemed to recall something. "It's fine if you don't want to answer. I'm not trying to pry into your privacy. I just didn't expect that, after the Frost Moon Alliance had explicitly declared it a barren world, there would still be people interested in it."
Caroline became serious, shedding her earlier madness, and her manner of speaking gained a touch more gentleness and delicacy.
Angel said, "It's no matter. This isn't really a secret, and the Wise Sovereign knows as well... The reason is simple: I raised a demon."
As Angel spoke, the shadow on the ground began to churn continuously. Before long, a leopard-shaped phantom with a Blue Lantern Flower growing atop its head emerged and stopped beside Angel.
"Eh, this is... an awakened demon?"
"Yes. Its name is Ermi."
When Caroline first saw Ermi, she was somewhat startled and wary. But when she saw Ermi obediently staying by Angel's side, she froze for a moment, then showed immense interest.
"An awakened demon that has undergone one awakening can actually obey you? Could it be that you're connected to those Liberators as well?"
"Liberators?" It was Angel's first time hearing that name. "I don't know what Liberators are. Ermi obeys me for other reasons. But I'm afraid I cannot tell you those reasons."
Since Angel did not wish to explain, Caroline did not press him. Still, as she looked at Ermi, she continued to click her tongue in amazement.
"Something so many wizards failed to accomplish back then, yet you managed it." Caroline said, "It seems you aren't some storyless ordinary wizard after all."
Angel said, "I have a rather unimpressive short story, but I'm still a very ordinary wizard."
