"I understand." Though he said that, Angel still had some doubts in his heart, but he did not voice them at this moment.
Angel made a light gesture and released Swift Spirit from the bracelet.
Swift Spirit was still wearing the cumbersome shell of an Alchemy Puppet. The moment it appeared, dust shook loose from the ground and swirled into the air.
Once the dust settled, Angel hurriedly signaled for Swift Spirit to come out of the Alchemy Puppet. Yet this time, no matter how many times Angel called to it in his mind, Swift Spirit gave no response.
It was not until Angel reached out himself and put away the Alchemy Puppet, allowing Swift Spirit to turn into an invisible wisp of wind, that it slowly came back to its senses.
"What's wrong with you?" Angel asked in puzzlement.
After hesitating for a moment, Swift Spirit gave him an answer.
—It felt that the wind here was somewhat strange.
Angel was not surprised by that answer. He had released Swift Spirit precisely in hopes that it could study the wind here. Now, before he had even said anything, Swift Spirit had proactively brought up the wind in this space. That was a good thing.
Angel told Swift Spirit his purpose.
Swift Spirit gave an affirmative answer almost without hesitation.
However, Angel also reminded Swift Spirit in his mind, "For now, I haven't sensed any danger from the wind here, but that doesn't mean it poses no danger to you. Be careful when you study it."
Swift Spirit nodded. Under Angel's watchful gaze, it turned into a wisp of breeze and fused with the forest-green wind that happened to be blowing by.
Angel carefully sensed through their contract and confirmed that Swift Spirit's emotions were stable, with no abnormalities appearing.
