The essence of this step was to carve out an independent space within the gap between the Dream Realm and the Nightmare Realm. At this point, the space was in a state of chaos. Its exact size was unknown, as was its location, and even less was known about its internal structure.
Put simply, this space was—the embryo of a Nightmare Domain.
The second step was to use the Dream Conch to pull a physical object from the current world into a dream.
In this case, it meant pulling the Whale in a Bottle from the Mirror World into the "embryo of the Nightmare Domain."
This step was meant to truly shape the Nightmare Domain, establish its unknown location, connect the Mirror World to the Nightmare Domain, and construct a special passage based on the Dream Bridge.
At that point, the Nightmare Domain had already broken free of chaos. With the three worlds serving as separate points, it formed a new, stable "Dream Wilderness" with the unique laws of each world.
The third step was Angel's responsibility. He needed to sense the Whale in a Bottle's location, determine whether the Nightmare Domain had been successfully constructed, and confirm whether the Nightmare Domain's authorities were connected.
Angel was now at this stage.
