In the Wizarding World, "Hante" had no clearly defined meaning.
But characters associated with "cold" generally carried a note of contempt. They conveyed a lofty gaze looking down on others, a disdain for dust and barren lands.
So although "Hante" had no precise meaning, the name the Wizarding World had given that world made the wizards' contempt clear.
That contemptuous name was used only in the Wizarding World... or, more precisely, in the Southern Wizarding World. Angel
